Cornerstone provided back-to-school supplies for Cherbonnier/Rillieux Elementary to provide up to 20 students in need with the tools necessary to be successful in the classroom. Cornerstone delivered bulk supplies to the local elementary school to distribute to any student who arrives on the first day of school without the supplies they need to learn. Cornerstone looks forward to working with Cherbonnier/Rillieux Elementary throughout the academic year on education and STEM-related initiatives.

Cornerstone donated a total of 2,000 feet of new fire hose to the local Live Oak Manor Volunteer Fire Department in Waggaman, La. The donation will allow the fire department to supply an entire fire truck with a new fire hose, and there will also be spare hoses available for emergency use. Cornerstone is excited to continue its strong working relationship with the local fire department.

Cornerstone was honored to donate 10 new bullet-proof vests to the recruits of Class 58. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is a valued partner and neighbor. Cornerstone looks forward to continuing to strengthen the partnership and to make sure the police officers have the necessary tools to ensure their safety.

Cornerstone received recognition at the United Way of Southeast Louisiana's (UWSELA) Annual Meeting for being a 2018-19 Top 60 Most Generous Workplace. The Southeast Louisiana Most Generous Workplaces are announced annually and determined by a company's philanthropic contributions to and through UWSELA during the previous fiscal year. Cornerstone was ranked No. 20.

At the United Way of St. Charles' (UWSC) Victory Celebration, UWSC announced the accomplishments of its annual campaign and recognized companies with success in their workplace campaigns. Cornerstone received top honors for success in campaign improvement, employee per capita giving, corporate giving, percent participation and leadership giving. Cornerstone was proud to be a part of making the UWSC 2018-19 campaign the largest campaign in the organization's history. A total of $3,462,716 was raised.
