Cornerstone representatives attended the LaSTEM Annual Summit in an effort to find new ways for Cornerstone to get involved in more STEM activities and programs. The summit included STEM-related panel discussions, workshops, booths and a keynote presentation.

Cornerstone employees attended the Greater New Orleans, Inc. HBCU STEM Connect Internship Kick-Off. GNO, Inc. brought together our local HBCUs - Dillard University, Southern University at New Orleans and Xavier University of Louisiana - and regional businesses that have a STEM focus, to create a paid internship experience for junior and senior STEM majors enrolled at these schools. Together, we are building talent pipelines that will create job opportunities in our local community and attract even more businesses to the region.

Cornerstone's United Way Committee hosted a ' Raise Your Flag' competition that raised $2,025 for United Way. Cornerstone employees had the opportunity to nominate and vote for their favorite college football team. The winning team was Nicholls State University. The Nicholls flag will be flown on-site for one whole year.

Cornerstone representatives attended the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) 2022 Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference. The annual meeting focused on valuable insights into the future of fossil fuels, leadership in the workforce, the value of our communities, and products of industry. Cornerstone's own, Tom Yura is on the GBRIA Board of Directors and spoke during the meeting.

Cornerstone donated notebooks, binders, colored pencils, pens and more for students at Cherbonnier/Rillieux Elementary - Cornerstone's adopted school in Waggaman. At Cornerstone, we are committed to supporting the education of our future workforce.

Cornerstone participated in this year's U.S. Marine Corps 'Toys For Tots' program. We helped children in need by collecting toys throughout the month of December in an effort to spread holiday cheer.

Cornerstone volunteers cooked jambalaya and white beans for a fundraiser at R.K. Smith Middle School located in St. Charles Parish. All proceeds went to the school's Junior Beta Club.

Cornerstone hosted the annual Community Advisory Panel (CAP) holiday dinner for our CAP members at Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation located in Waggaman. CAP members received a special holiday gift and enjoyed food, drinks, and music.
