Cornerstone hosted its annual scholarship banquet to honor its 15 Scholarship Recipients at the JEDCO Conference Center. The honorees included 10 students seeking bachelor's degrees in STEM-related fields who received $1,000 in scholarship funds. Cornerstone also honored five high school students who will attend the Louisiana Youth Seminar (LYS), a weeklong summer leadership camp at LSU.

Cornerstone representatives attended Benjamin Franklin High School's Award Ceremony for the Class of 2022 to recognize Helena Usey (daughter of Cornerstone's own, Sidney Usey) as one of our scholarship recipients. Helena was our only high school senior selected as a recipient for this year's Cornerstone Scholarship Program.

Cornerstone attended and volunteered at the 24th Annual Crawfish Boil hosted by the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce to network with elected officials and local leaders.

Cornerstone took home two awards at the 2022 Annual PIP (Process Industry Practices) Conference. The first award was presented to Cornerstone as an Outstanding Member Company. This award was accepted on the company's behalf by Charles Kelley and James Lloyd. Along with Cornerstone's award, James was awarded Special Recognition for Leadership.

Cornerstone's summer interns spend their first day at Cornerstone Energy Park in orientation to learn all about Cornerstone and our operations. They also had the opportunity to spend time with their mentors during our 'Intern Luncheon Celebration'.

Cornerstone presented a giant check for $15,000 to the National World War II Museum for STEM Innovation Studios. Cornerstone volunteers also participated in the STEM Innovation Studio that day to assist children with STEM activities, which included making your own bubbles and bubble wand, chalk, and slime.

Cornerstone launched its partnership with LSU Athletics this spring by promoting sustainability efforts with the LSU Baseball team. Cornerstone held table sits to distribute sustainable products and information on promoting sustainability in Louisiana. The giveaway items included reusable utensils and bags.

Cornerstone earned the CSX Chemical Safety Excellence Award for 2021. This recognition is reserved for customers who have achieved the highest standards of safety excellence - zero non-accidental releases of regulated hazardous materials shipments on the CSX network for the entire year.
