Through our partnerships with Cherbonnier/Rillieux Elementary School and Joseph A. Cuillier Career Center, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of local students.

At Cornerstone, we believe that the strength of our community lies in the education of its youth. For over five years, we’ve been proud partners of Cherbonnier/Rillieux Elementary and the Cuillier Career Center, working hand in hand with educators to ensure that students have the resources they need to succeed. These partnerships are a testament to our commitment to being a good neighbor and a trusted advocate for education in Jefferson Parish.
One of our most impactful initiatives is the annual donation of back-to-school supplies to Cherbonnier/Rillieux Elementary. As the school faced an influx of new students this year, our contributions were more vital than ever. By providing essentials like notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and more, we ensure that every child has the tools they need to thrive in the classroom from day one.
In addition to supporting basic needs, we are deeply committed to fostering a love for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in young learners. Our STEM Manufacturing Day at Cherbonnier/Rillieux has become a much-anticipated event, offering students hands-on experiences that make learning exciting and relevant. By connecting STEM concepts to real-world applications, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.
Our partnership with Joseph A. Cuillier Career Center extends our commitment to education into the realm of workforce development. At Cuillier, students gain practical skills and industry-based credentials that prepare them for successful careers. We’re proud to support these efforts by sponsoring students to attend leadership seminars, providing mentorship, and participating in advisory committees that shape the curriculum to meet the needs of today’s industries.
