We are thrilled to share that The Times-Picayune recently recognized Cornerstone Chemical Company, LLC for our dedication to supporting education and nurturing future leaders in Louisiana!

Awarding scholarships to encourage STEM education shows our commitment to making higher education accessible for the bright young minds of Jefferson Parish.

Investing in Future Leaders

At Cornerstone, giving back to our community is a core value.

The Cornerstone Scholarship Program is a key initiative aimed at bridging the gap between academic talent and access to education. Each spring, we award $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing STEM-related degrees at accredited universities or community colleges in Louisiana.

Over the past five years, the program has nurtured and championed the development of the next generation of STEM professionals.

2024 Cornerstone Scholarship Recipients

This year, 10 outstanding students from Jefferson Parish were selected as recipients of the Cornerstone Scholarship Program. These scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, community involvement, and leadership potential.

Empowering Future Leaders at the Louisiana Youth Seminar

In addition to our scholarship program, we have also awarded scholarships to three high school students to attend the 2024 Louisiana Youth Seminar (LYS) at LSU. This week-long program aims to develop effective leadership skills and is aligned with Cornerstone’s values of corporate citizenship and community improvement.

The 2024 LYS Scholarship recipients are:

  • Bry’ah Payne, John Ehret High School + Cuillier Career Center, Grade 11
  • Cecilia Cody, Destrehan High School, Grade 11
  • Kameron Caston-Bolds, West Jefferson High School + Cuillier Career Center, Grade 11
