The following is a statement from Cornerstone regarding resuming normal plant operations following Hurricane Sally.
On September 15, 2020, Cornerstone’s Waggaman, Louisiana facility returned to non-emergency plant status after determining Hurricane Sally was no longer a threat to the New Orleans, Louisiana area. Hurricane Sally made landfall on September 16, 2020 near Orange Beach, Alabama.
The facility proactively reduced production rates earlier this week as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and security of infrastructure and employees in advance of the approaching storm. Cornerstone is back to normal operations and production levels.
Cornerstone’s Emergency Management Team continues to monitor weather conditions and keep all personnel informed. The safety of our employees, the community and the environment remains Cornerstone’s top priority.
